[11:02] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Hi JayR
[11:02] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: Hi Andrew and George
[11:02] George Equus: Hi everyone
[11:02] Andrew Hellershanks: um... ok. This is different.
[11:03] Unknown.UserUPUUI @thekaz.ddns.net:8002: boy this was confusing / getting here today :_))))
[11:03] George Equus: Bit tricky getting to meeting...
[11:03] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Things come and go so fast here, Toto
[11:03] Andrew Hellershanks: yeah. So much for a simpler, low lag meeting location.
[11:04] George Equus: Very dark here today
[11:04] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: I turned on Midday
[11:04] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: I do like this region one of the first HG jumps I made in OS
[11:04] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: Nostalgic
[11:04] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: Nice region, but ummm log lag they name is NOT lbsa
[11:04] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: *low
[11:05] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: True
[11:05] Andrew Hellershanks nods to Bill
[11:05] George Equus: My windlight setting had changed, better now :)
[11:06] Andrew Hellershanks: I don't know where to find the windlight settings in Firestorm.
[11:07] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: you can either force midday
[11:07] Andrew Hellershanks: Oh, nice! I just discovered that you can search the preferences dialog box. I found it. :)
[11:07] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: or click the firestorm icon in your toolbar
[11:07] George Equus: It's in Quick prefs Andrew
[11:07] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: use the world menu to turn light to midday
[11:07] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: World>Sunposition
[11:07] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: oops
[11:07] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: I can't type today
[11:08] George Equus: toolbar button maybe not enabled?
[11:08] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: ctrl+shift+y sets the viewer to midday
[11:08] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: learnt that from Miney lol
[11:08] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: World>Sun Position>Midday is the easiest
[11:08] Andrew Hellershanks: George, I don't know where to find Quick Prefs. :)
[11:09] Arielle Popstar: bottom right hand corener
[11:09] Arielle Popstar: corner
[11:09] Andrew Hellershanks: Oh, ok.
[11:09] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: Did not know how to do that Bill #AlwaysLearning
[11:09] Arielle Popstar: (sigh) noobs :p
[11:09] Andrew Hellershanks: The other quick way to get to Midday is via the keyboard shortcut (Alt-Y, IIRC)
[11:10] Simulator Version v0.5 shouts: Rev Paela OpenSim 4.0.1 Dev (Unix/Mono)
[11:10] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: we are all noobs at some point Arielle :)
[11:10] George Equus: Right click the toolbar buttons and then top menu item and enable Quick Prefs
[11:10] Map Space Locator: DynamicTextureModule: Error preparing image using URL http://quickmap.osgrid.org/quickmap.php?resolution=8
[11:10] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: 4.0.1 - wow
[11:10] George Equus: Has the FS logo
[11:11] Arielle Popstar: yes true but andrew has graduated from being new  :)
[11:11] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: Yeah this region runs some custom version, still think the meeting should run on a region running MASTER
[11:11] Andrew Hellershanks: Arielle, mostly I have. :)
[11:11] Arielle Popstar: heh i know
[11:12] Arielle Popstar: why is this lbsa plaza ??
[11:12] Andrew Hellershanks: Bill, the region should be run using the same version of Open Sim as is used for the main part of osgrid.
[11:12] George Equus: Lean Blond Swede  :))
[11:12] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: Well that would be close enough to master Andrew
[11:12] Arielle Popstar looks around for one
[11:12] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: is ABBA here?
[11:12] George Equus: Original founder of OSGrid
[11:13] George Equus: Soon Gavin. will have virtial holo show apparently
[11:13] Arielle Popstar: he pops in once in a while
[11:13] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: hehe
[11:14] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: hi kayaker
[11:14] Arielle Popstar: too bad you can force teleport certain people to here Kayaker
[11:14] Arielle Popstar: cant
[11:15] Arielle Popstar: unless we collared them....
[11:16] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: This is the OpenSim Dev meeting?
[11:16] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Has the right people.
[11:16] Arielle Popstar: except Sheera
[11:16] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: This is a Virtual World Addicts Anonymous meeting ... so yeah same thing
[11:16] Andrew Hellershanks: Kayaker, yes it is
[11:16] Andrew Hellershanks: hehe
[11:17] Arielle Popstar: kk i am in the right place either way then
[11:17] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Hi Ubit
[11:17] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: Howdy Ubit
[11:17] Andrew Hellershanks: Now that we a good complement of people have found there way here it is time to start the meeting.
[11:17] Andrew Hellershanks: Hello, Ubit.
[11:17] Ubit Umarov: hi
[11:17] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: Hi Ubit and Kayaker
[11:18] Arielle Popstar: do we start with the serenity prayer?
[11:18] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Helo to you, person who's name is (Loading...)
[11:18] Andrew Hellershanks: Let us hope this region gets back to its previous look for next meeting.
[11:18] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: More like a sign that says, "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here"
[11:18] Andrew Hellershanks: If not, we may be looking for another place to meet that is low lag.
[11:19] Arielle Popstar: its laggy?
[11:19] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: right now I'm praying the iOS 11 update does not brick my phone...
[11:19] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: the struggle is real Gavin
[11:19] Arielle Popstar: 41 ms ....cant get much better then that
[11:21] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I got my server back up on OSGrid and did some testing of llCastray: I am a happy camper. It runs in 70ms or less and does not slow down in var regions. Tested ubODE in sizes up to 8x8. Tested Bullet's new llCastRay only on a 1x1 and it has similar speed.
[11:21] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Both in OpenSim 0.9.1, the one downloaded from OSGrid.org
[11:23] Andrew Hellershanks: Good to hear, Kayaker. I know you had been having issues with lLCastRay for some time.
[11:23] Andrew Hellershanks: There hasn't been much in the way of changes to the OS code this past week. Just three small changes.
[11:25] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I'm having trouble compiling the new version, it might be the mono version I have: 4.2.1. Andrew gave me a 3.8.2 but I have not had time to try unpacking that yet.
[11:25] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Any other opinions about mono 4.2.1?
[11:25] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: Mono 5.2.215 works great
[11:25] Map Space Locator: DynamicTextureModule: Error preparing image using URL http://quickmap.osgrid.org/quickmap.php?resolution=8
[11:25] Andrew Hellershanks: Kayaker, minor corretion. I gave you 3.2.8
[11:25] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: dyslexia of the fingers....
[11:25] Andrew Hellershanks: np
[11:26] Andrew Hellershanks: AFAICR, 4.2 was a version best avoided. It caused various issues when using it to run OS. I don't remember the specifics.
[11:27] Ubit Umarov: hmm ? im not a osgrid greeter
[11:27] Andrew Hellershanks: I don't recall if 4.4 was considered safe. The 4.6 version should be ok. IIRC, at least one of the other core devs is using it.
[11:28] Ubit Umarov: why does this thing says im ?
[11:28] Ubit Umarov: whatever
[11:28] Andrew Hellershanks: Ubit, it says you are Owner of Nothing
[11:28] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: I know ubit is running his on 5.2
[11:28] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I thought ubit was running on Windows .net?
[11:29] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: he also has a linux VM
[11:29] Ubit Umarov: im running a test region on a Bill's VM
[11:30] Ubit Umarov: Mono JIT compiler version 5.2.0.215 (tarball Mon Aug 14 15:46:12 UTC 2017)
[11:30] Andrew Hellershanks: I don't see a 5.2 branch of mono. I do notice a reference to 5.4 and 5.7
[11:31] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: http://www.mono-project.com/download/
[11:31] Ubit Umarov: hmm copyeight by Novell ?
[11:31] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: 5.2.0 Stable (5.2.0.215)
[11:31] Ubit Umarov: copyright..
[11:32] Ubit Umarov: didn't remember the novelll part
[11:32] Andrew Hellershanks: Gavin, I'm looking at the source tree that I have on my machine.
[11:32] Andrew Hellershanks: Perhaps someone forgot to branch/tag the other 5.x versions.
[11:32] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Hmm, I ended up with mono 4.2.1 because that was the version that came up when I re-built my server a new copy of Ubuntu.
[11:33] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: they have some screwed up naming, may not be named 5.2
[11:33] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: I think their developers are on some really good drugs
[11:33] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: obviously not performance enhancing drugs @ Bill
[11:36] Andrew Hellershanks: My distro has 5.2 on it. I can give it a try the next time I run my standalone copy of OS.
[11:37] Andrew Hellershanks: I finished some work I was doing for a client so I will be taking some time this week to work on updating the OSSL wiki pages, and to add more information to the 0.9 release notes page.
[11:38] Andrew Hellershanks: At least, that is the plan. :)
[11:38] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: sounds good
[11:39] Andrew Hellershanks: Any other OpenSim related questions/comments/bugs for today?
[11:40] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I compiled a new macOS version of bullet with the latest changes, just gonna run it for 24 hours before submitting
[11:40] Map Space Locator: DynamicTextureModule: Error preparing image using URL http://quickmap.osgrid.org/quickmap.php?resolution=8
[11:40] Andrew Hellershanks: ok, ty, George.
[11:41] Unknown.UserUPUUI @thekaz.ddns.net:8002: I found a Speed Boat script the other day that works pretty well on both Bullet and ubODE
[11:41] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I have been unable to HG out of OSGrid. The last time I was able to was before the switch to 0.9.1 anyone else had this problem?
[11:41] Arielle Popstar: heard others mention but not had issue myself
[11:41] Unknown.UserUPUUI @thekaz.ddns.net:8002: @ Kayaker / I have had no problems with my OSGrid avatar
[11:42] George Equus: yw Andrew
[11:42] Andrew Hellershanks: Kayaker, which grid(s) have you tried to reach? Is the problem only outbound?
[11:43] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I just HGed in here from Kitely. From OSGrid I get location not found for ANY HG address I type into the map.
[11:44] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Who here is logged into OSGrid directly?
[11:44] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: that being with a native OSG login Kayaker
[11:44] Andrew Hellershanks: Kayaker, I am logged in to osgrid directly.
[11:44] Arielle Popstar: i am
[11:45] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Try putting http://grid.kitely.com:8002/ in the map and see it it can find it. (but don't TP away!)
[11:45] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: found it
[11:46] Arielle Popstar: me too
[11:46] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Hmm, I got cant find errors. I'll try again after the meeting.
[11:46] Arielle Popstar: may have to clean HG links on the default region
[11:47] Andrew Hellershanks: Kayaker, I find a region called Unknown
[11:47] Arielle Popstar: yes unknown for me too
[11:48] Andrew Hellershanks: I've had trouble TPing out of Kitely to a grid I was working on. I can TP out from some regions in that grid but not others.
[11:48] Arielle Popstar: on the other hand Kayaker, this is a non standard release
[11:48] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: I just out grid.kitely.com:8002 in the map. It says it found it.
[11:49] Arielle Popstar: it finds Selby but does it name it?
[11:49] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I just logged into OSGrid directly in another window, when I paste http://grid.kitely.com:8002/ into the map it still says "No regions found with that name"
[11:49] Arielle Popstar: or also unknown?
[11:49] OtakuMegane Desu: Just 'Unknown' when I tried it
[11:49] Arielle Popstar: try this Kay grid.kitely.com:8002
[11:50] Arielle Popstar: without http://
[11:50] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: no name -- will test it
[11:50] Bill.Blight @grid.opensim.life:8002: Gotta run, another meeting ... TTFN
[11:50] Andrew Hellershanks: ok, tc Bill.
[11:50] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Can't go -- Not allowed to visit
[11:50] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: bye
[11:51] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I tried all combinations with the http, grid / on the end.
[11:51] Arielle Popstar: now i get the name
[11:51] Arielle Popstar: inspiration island
[11:51] George Equus: Just searched Kitely, got it on the map
[11:51] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: AHAH! It works from here, but not from Wright Plaza!
[11:51] Andrew Hellershanks: As do I, Arielle.
[11:52] Arielle Popstar: did you delete old HG links in console Ubit?
[11:52] George Equus: I'll test jumping around a bit... brb If succeed
[11:52] Andrew Hellershanks: There was some changes affecting HG TP's made to the grid code. I don't remember the details. Perhaps Ubit does. Could be a compatibility issue as Kitely is running 0.8
[11:53] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: What is Rev Paela OpenSim 4.0.1 Dev that is running here????
[11:53] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: I will try going to Kitely as return (I came from there)
[11:53] Arielle Popstar: non standard release i was mentioning
[11:54] Ubit Umarov: old hg links aren't that good.. but don't remember if i did deleted them or not
[11:54] Andrew Hellershanks: I just tried to check the map for another grid running 0.8.2 and the region has no name.
[11:54] Ubit Umarov: btw this region is not on our code
[11:54] Arielle Popstar: i was meaning within the last 5 minutes Ubit
[11:54] Arielle Popstar: so i guess not
[11:54] Ubit Umarov: mo idea what changes does it have
[11:54] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Wright Plaza is running 0.9.1.0 Dev
[11:55] Arielle Popstar: wright plaza is too heavy for some
[11:55] Map Space Locator: DynamicTextureModule: Error preparing image using URL http://quickmap.osgrid.org/quickmap.php?resolution=8
[11:55] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: And from there I cannot find Kitely
[11:56] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: From here my OSGrid native avatar could find Kitely
[11:56] Arielle Popstar: sounds like bad hg links then
[11:56] Arielle Popstar: an osgrid admin would have to delete them
[11:57] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: I got to Kitely with Home button in Firestorm
[11:57] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: They have a meeting at this time every Saturday?
[11:58] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Yes Selby but that is where you CAME FROM! People that start here cannot get to Kitely (or anyplace else I have tried)
[11:58] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I just went to Sandbox 12 which is on 0.9.1 and cannot find Kitely their either.
[11:58] Andrew Hellershanks: Try going to another grid that is running 0.9
[11:59] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Is there a separate mantis for OSGrid specific issues?
[11:59] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: grid.xmirlorg:8002:Sandbox
[11:59] George Equus: Jumped around on at least a dozen grids with absolutely np unusually smooth actually.
[11:59] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: grid.xmir.org:8002:Sandbox
[11:59] George Equus: some on very old versions of code
[11:59] Ubit Umarov: Pinging prod.kitely.com [50.18.48.24] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
[12:00] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: Sandbox is on 0.9.1
[12:00] George Equus: And discovered that this is not LBSA lol went there b4 came here...
[12:00] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I get not found for grid.xmirlorg:8002:Sandbox while standing in an OSGrid 0.9.1 region in my OSGrid avatar.
[12:00] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: try hte next address
[12:00] Ubit Umarov: i just found it here
[12:01] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: there is a dot missing in the one you used
[12:01] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: grid.xmir.org:8002:Sandbox
[12:01] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Yes, but here is not running 0.9.1
[12:01] Ubit Umarov: and on my test region
[12:01] Andrew Hellershanks: We don't know what version of code is running here
[12:01] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Oh, with the correct address I can find grid.xmir.org:8002:Sandbox
[12:02] Ubit Umarov: and on linux test region
[12:02] Leighton.Marjoram @grid.opensim.life:8002: I have to head off bye for now and see you next week.
[12:02] Ubit Umarov: for somereason kitely is npt responding
[12:02] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: bye
[12:02] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: At any rate, I have been having trouble HGing since the 0.9.1 changeover on OSGrid. Just reporting that.
[12:02] Arielle Popstar: tc Leighton
[12:03] Arielle Popstar: with osgrid though it could be their network config and not an opensim issue
[12:03] Ubit Umarov: 10:02:56 - [HYPERGRID LINKER]: Link to http://grid.kitely.com:8002/ , in <6640,0>
10:02:56 - [GATEKEEPER SERVICE CONNECTOR]: Linking to http://grid.kitely.com:8002/
10:02:56 - [HYPERGRID LINKER]: Unable to link region
[12:03] Ubit Umarov: it was working fine.. so guess some bad internet weather
[12:03] Arielle Popstar: kitely has on demand regions so they may not be avaialble unless someone already there
[12:04] Ubit Umarov: main hg region should be up :p
[12:04] George Equus: Kayaker, you must have some local issue?
[12:04] Arielle Popstar: if it defaults to it
[12:04] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: How come it works in this region and not in Wright Plaza?
[12:05] Arielle Popstar: is inspiration island the main region?>
[12:05] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: (btw, I am trying to get to the always-up Kitely Welcome region, so it is not an on-demand issue)
[12:05] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Normally if the Kitely on demand region is not running you get a message to that effect and go to a transfer station
[12:05] Ubit Umarov: i can't reach kitely from my test regions either
[12:05] Arielle Popstar: yes but is it pingable if it isnt up?
[12:06] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: The Kitely welcome region is up -- I just went there
[12:06] George Equus: Similarly, I often have trouble getting home directly from HG but always succed if I first land on other regions here on osg and then try to get home..
[12:06] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: differences in DNS setup between regions?
[12:07] Ubit Umarov: wlel i don't know.. there where no recent code changes and hg to kitely was worming fine
[12:07] Ubit Umarov: and working
[12:07] Ubit Umarov: so guess a temp glitch
[12:07] George Equus: No idea... just the way it's always been for me, Some regions simply do not connect to mine, others do
[12:08] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Ubir came to Kitely last Friday
[12:08] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Ubit
[12:08] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: if you go to Wright, will it resolve www.kitely.com through the built in web browser?
[12:08] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I just tried to complete a TP to Kitely from here, landed on Inspiration Island instead of the Welcom Region!???
[12:08] Ubit Umarov: yeap.. mb kitely gatekeeper needs a kick
[12:08] Ubit Umarov: no idea
[12:09] Ubit Umarov: internet weather is so strange this days
[12:09] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Kitely installed new something this morning
[12:10] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: O.o
[12:10] George Equus: When searching for http://grid.kitely.com:8002 I find two: http://grid.kitely.com:8002/i and / inspiration island
[12:10] Simulator Version v0.5 shouts: Rev Paela OpenSim 4.0.1 Dev (Unix/Mono)
[12:10] Arielle Popstar: changed the default HG region
[12:10] Map Space Locator: DynamicTextureModule: Error preparing image using URL http://quickmap.osgrid.org/quickmap.php?resolution=8
[12:10] Arielle Popstar: maybe
[12:10] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Made it to Kitely Welcome on a second jump. Not sure who to report this bug to.... I'll try Kitely and OSgrid Dave...
[12:11] Ubit Umarov: well now 2 regions where found here
[12:11] Arielle Popstar: what about to Metro?
[12:11] Arielle Popstar: they still on .8.2 i think
[12:12] Ubit Umarov: or 0.8.3 :p
[12:12] George Equus: HG has always been bit flaky, sometimes it just works, sometimes not at all
[12:12] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: must go now -- bye all
[12:12] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: bye
[12:12] Ubit Umarov: cya
[12:12] George Equus: bye
